Egg-free lemon sponge for a 40th wedding anniversary. Decorated with hand-made sugar roses and hand-made beaded wire/jewellery trim.  Because the cake was to be egg-free, the inscription was done as an edible image.

Emerald Wedding Anniversary Cake

For a couple celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary.  They wanted a cake that represented their hobbies of playing bridge and golf.  But to avoid making it too 'novelty' I used an argyle type pattern around the side.  The life-sized edible cards are made from modelling paste and edible images.  12" rich fruit cake.

Lots and lots and lots of hand-rolled sugar pearls decorate the side of this 9" lemon sponge with lemon curd buttercream, and it's topped with a hand-made sugar shell.
