My very warmest congratulations to Clare and Derry who were married today at Eastbury Manor House. I have to admit that despite the venue being only 20 minutes from me, I'd never heard of it before. It's a beautiful Elizabethan house, now owned by the National Trust, hidden in plain sight amongst residential roads! I do hope I get to visit again. Clare and Derry chose my 'Maryam' design, but changed the flowers from roses to peonies to match their fresh flowers. I love the bespoke stand they had made to display the cake, which was tiers of red velvet and champagne & strawberry.

Orchid wedding cake

I love the simple elegance of this wedding cake, with hand-made sugar orchids, for Janine & David's small, intimate wedding reception in a smart Chelsea retaurant.  Many congratulations!

Pink Marble Ombré Wedding Cake

Warmest congratulations to Sharmini & Gajan who celebrated their wedding at the InterContinental London Park Lane.  Taking inspiration of design features from lots of different cakes that Sharmini liked, we designed this 4 tier cake with ombré pink marble effect (ie starts off light at the top and gradually gets darker on each tier). It was finished with a feature fantasy peony with gold leaves.

Photo wedding cake

Congratulations to Sophie & Jack who were married at the beautiful Chanels Estate.  Their 3 tier wedding cake is truly personal and unique - with edible photos of the happy couple on each face of the hexagonal cakes.

Oopsie!

I really have been very bad at updating my blog!  My bad!  I'll try to do better, I promise.  Starting from tomorrow (if I get a decent photo of the cake I'm delivering.  That's the trouble with so many places - beautiful function suite; dreadful lighting!!!)

Anyway, here are the ones I've omitted to post.

So this pretty pale pink and white cake from about a month ago at the Crowne Plaza in Gerrard's Cross is a version of 'Sana' that I did last year in different colours....

Next up is a small selection of royal iced cookies as part of a 'sweetie table' at a wedding.

And then a 'pink pony cake' was the request of of Rachel for her 3rd birthday!

I can't believe that at the end of July, it was a whole year since I'd made Jay & Harjit's wedding cake and I was delighted that they got in touch to ask me to make an anniversary cake, in the same colour scheme as their wedding cake.

Jasmin & Hardeep's cake was a collaboration with Becki of Floco, who provided all the flowers that went between each of the 5 tiers.  Each section of flowers was as tall as a cake, so in effect, their cake was the equivalent of 10 tiers tall!  Fortunately, Mr Pat-a-Cake was with me and helped in placing the top couple of tiers!

I think that pretty much brings us up to date and I can carry on individual posts from here!
