Stack of Books Wedding Cake

Liz & Jess made history by having the first same-sex wedding at their synagogue and I was thrilled to be asked to make their wedding cake.  Liz is an English teacher (I know Jess is a teacher, too, but I'm not sure in which subject) and they had a beautifully romantic literary themed wedding in a stunning octaganol former library.
The cake flavours they chose were red velvet; lemon; and coffee.

Fondant Fancy Wedding Cake

with kind permission of the bride & groom

Giant Fondant Fancy Wedding Cake
I think this is my first 'novelty' wedding cake, but the soft colours (softer than the flash makes it look in this photo) and the (edible!) white cases around each cake still give it an elegance befitting a wedding! My warmest congratulations to Louise and Nino who were married today at Blake Hall, Essex.
