Henna Inspired Wedding Cookie Favours

 

Just a small selection of the henna-pattern inspired cookies for Devina & Amrit's wedding... I love the bright colours and beautiful patterns! They may have taken me longer than anticipated, but seeing how thrilled the customer was when she collected them - and the lovely 'thank you' hug she gave me was certainly worth it!!  Royal icing flooded cookies with hand-piped royal icing detailing. There were 180 cookies in total, 3 cookies per bag. The customer had 60 beautiful boxes to place the bagged cookies in at home - boxes had peacock pattern on the front, with the bride & groom's name.

Caviar Birthday Cake

Happy 18th birthday to my first-born baby!

I look back and smile (and, yes, have shed a tear or two recently) at all the wonderful memories of his childhood, but my heart is full knowing what a wonderful young man he's become: Kind, caring, honest, hard-working, funny, loving, clever, intelligent....

As he is starting to appreciate the finer things in life this was a perfect cake for him (and I'm proud that he asked for a fruit cake for his birthday! I have taught him well!) x x x x x

18th Birthday Cake

Pretty, pink, girly, lilac, purple...  all words that the customer used to describe the cake she wanted for her daughter's 18th birthday.  Unfortunately, due to my (lack of) photography skills, you can't see the hand-piped inscription. I hope Francesca had a wonderful birthday - I know they enjoyed the cake as I got this lovely message
