Archery Target Cake

16th birthday cake for a young lady who is very talented at archery. Although not the most feminine of cakes, her mum said that knowing her daughter as she does, she simply couldn't have ordered anything else but this!!  9" chocolate sponge filled with chocolate buttercream.  All decorations hand-cut, including the fully edible arrow.

Birthday cake for a fun loving, Louboutin-wearing 70 year old lady who is known for her love of everything leopard print. Carole is celebrating with a fabulous party and according to her daughter-in-law, Carole will be dancing until the early hours! Leopard print all hand-painted and sugar shoe entirely hand-made with no formers or molds!

Cheeky Monkey!

I realised this morning that I've made all of Harry's birthday cakes!  I'm afraid I don't know who to credit with the original design, as the customer sent me a pic of the cake she wanted.  Inside, to match the monkey theme, is banoffee cake - banana flavour sponge, spread with caramel and filled with caramel flavour buttercream!

18th Birthday Cake

Happy 18th birthday to Hayley... I remember Hayley when she was at primary school (her younger sister was in the same class as my elder son) and so I can't quite believe she's all growed up now!! Hayley's mum designed this cake for her - red curtains and drama masks for the shows that Hayley's been in, and featuring a microphone on the front, for her beautiful singing voice! Inside is delicious chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream and the outside is decorated with chocolate curls (I hear H is a bit of a chocolate fan!)
