Hip-Hop/Street Dance Cake

Happy 16th Birthday to Francesca and Callie who have been inseparable friends since, well, forever!! The order, from Francesca's mum, was for a pink cake with hip-hop/street dance silhouettes, musical notes, black and white Convese style shoes and two models of blonde girls with their hair in pony tails, wearing black trousers and black t-shirts with their dance company logo! This cake was taken all the way up to Blackpool where the girls are competing in the final of a dance competition. Good luck, girls!! And I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

18th Birthday Cake

Happy 18th birthday to Hayley... I remember Hayley when she was at primary school (her younger sister was in the same class as my elder son) and so I can't quite believe she's all growed up now!! Hayley's mum designed this cake for her - red curtains and drama masks for the shows that Hayley's been in, and featuring a microphone on the front, for her beautiful singing voice! Inside is delicious chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream and the outside is decorated with chocolate curls (I hear H is a bit of a chocolate fan!)

Bat Mitzvah Cake

Bat Mitzvah Cake

The brief was a light purple cake with a model of the Bat Mitzvah girl sitting over the edge, holding a microphone. She sent me a pic of the dress her daughter will be wearing and asked if it's possible to copy it and have some sort of pink gem on the dress? So I coloured some piping gel pink and added glitter and piped tiny dots of it over the bodice and skirt. She also wanted glittery musical notes. The cake is a surprise for her daughter, who won't know anything about it until they bring it out at the party!!
