This was so much fun to make! The birthday boy's mum wanted a cake with his favourite team's logo on. However, she also explained that he has a part-time job in KFC which he really doesn't enjoy... and so she thought it would be funny to include something to do with that, too. The chicken is made from Rice Krispie Squares, shaped and then covered with ginger nut biscuit crumbs! The fries are cookies!!

The customer ordered this cake for her boyfriend, who owns a tattoo shop. He was given a Japanese name by a Japanese tattoo master. A friend of theirs (also Japanese - but neither the customer or the boyfriend are) who works in the tattoo shop is staying with them, so she asked him to draw a design. He drew the outline and then she came round and, armed with my boys' colouring pencils, we decided on colours. I have to say that I haven't enjoyed doing a cake this much for a long, long time. I know it's simple (for those of you who aren't cake-makers, never confuse 'simple' with 'easy'!), but I LOVE how it's turned out.

And if you don't like cake, there are always the chocolate curls around the outside!

Well that was a first!! I've made a fair few wedding cakes... but this was the first time that I was *at* the wedding as a guest, too! Talk about extra pressure!! Fortunately, everyone loved the cake and I must admit I took great pride at seeing Melissa and Brian cut the cake!
5 tiers of chocolate sponge with home-made chocolate fudge frosting, with hundreds of hand-cut paper 'feathers' which were then individually dusted to colour them.

These are for a wedding fair next weekend. I've not yet made the top tier cake dummy, which is why I haven't photographed the complete display. I'm not exactly sure how I'll do it yet, but it will get done! In the meantime, I took a quick snap anyway. Of course, I'll take another picture once it's all set up on the stand!!

The flowers, I suppose, are a sort of, nearly, almost, kind of anemone?

You can't tell, but they're in silver foil cases... I thought black, white and silver is a nice combination.

And the green gloop (I have no idea what it's supposed to be... my 8 year old son did try to explain, but.... ) almost glows!!!! LOL!! 9" chocolate sponge filled with chocolate buttercream and covered with marzipan and sugarpaste. Logo hand-cut from modelling paste.
