Wedding Cake 'Gemma'

My warmest congratulations to Gemma & Chris. They chose a pretty cake with a real vintage feel... which co-ordinated so well with the gorgeous flower-filled china used as table centre-pieces at Blake Hall, Essex. Cake flavours were chocolate with salted caramel buttercream; lemon sponge with lemon curd buttercream; and champagne & strawberry flavour.

Mini Cupcakes

Mini cupcakes ...  not mini in size!  But with a Mini logo.  This was a corporate client order for 3 dozen cupcakes.  All the toppers were hand-made, with a small printed edible image in the centre.

Bat Mitzvah Cake

Brother and sister Zakariyya and Zahra had a joint 3rd / 1st birthday party.  Zakariyya had a number 3 cake, topped with a little toy of his favourite character and Zahra had a farmyard cake - as a petting zoo was actually the entertainment at the party!

Elephant Baby Shower

 

I just loved making this baby shower cake, with matching cookies...  as well as a giant cookie for the big-sister-to-be!  The giant cookie was around 7"x7".

Zebra Stripes

Happy 8th birthday to Ivy, who chose a zebra striped cake with pink and purple accents to celebrate her 8th birthday.  Banana flavour sponge with vanilla buttercream and all decorations (apart from the feathers) hand-made.

What a difference a photo makes! Last year, I made this lovely 5 tier wedding cake decorated with over-piped edible cake lace and sugar roses, for a wedding at the lovely London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, but my rushed photo at home couldn't come anywhere close to this beautiful shot taken by Alexandre Pichon Photography.  My sincere thanks to Alexandre for kindly allowing me to use this photo.
