Halloween Cupcakes

Gruesome Halloween Cupcakes!  Or, as I like to say - A gross of gross Halloween cupcakes (well, just over a gross...  150, to be exact!  But why let facts get in the way of a good pun, eh?)  'Gruesome hospital' was the theme of the halloween party and so they wanted various dismembered body parts!  All completely edible, apart from the pipettes/vials of 'blood' (raspberry sauce!)

Pony Unicorn Cake with Rainbow

I can't believe it's been 3 years since I made Tara's 1st birthday cake (see here).  However, 4 she is - and according to her mum, Tara knew just the sort of cake she wanted.  She sent me a picture on which they wanted to base the cake, but we made it into a 2 tier cake and did a pony/unicorn using an edible image on edible gumpaste.  I hope Tara had a fabulous party with all her nursery friends!

Wedding Cake 'Maria-Lena' - Museum

Wow!  What a truly spectacular venue for a wedding reception!  It's unbelievable how the great hall of The Natural History Museum (complete with Dippy the Diplodocus!) was transformed into a magical wedding reception venue.  'Starlight' back drops, gold dance floor in front of the grand staircase (each step lined with several tea-lights), the most incredible table centre-pieces by Floco Flower Company, lighting..  just wow!  Congratulations to Maria-Lena and Bharan! (And yes, this is the same couple who had a smaller reception the week before).  They chose this gorgeous, opulent 6 tier buttercream cake - entirely sprayed with edible gold lustre, with rustic finish and decorated with flowers.  Alternate tiers of Victoria sponge and red velvet cake.
