Happy New Year

Goodness...  almost at the end of 2014.  And what a year it's been.  I've been honoured and delighted to have made so many cakes and for such special occasions.

1st Birthday Cake

Last cake of 2014!
I was delighted to be asked to make Freddie's 1st birthday cake...  I can't believe it's been over 3 years since I made his parents' wedding cake!  9" vanilla sponge with jam & buttercream and 5" chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream, all covered with marzipan and sugarpaste.

Monopoly Bar Mitzvah Cake & Cookies

It was my son's Bar Mitzvah party yesterday and his party had a Monopoly theme; all the tables were given name places and were colour coded accordingly. Instead of name place cards, I made name place cookies... 140 in total!! Here's just a very small selection... Vanilla butter cookies and royal icing decoration.  And, of course, the cake - a labour of love.

Daniel did so well and we are all so very, very proud of him.

Anti-gravity cake Smarties cake. A **VERY** quickly put together cake for my baby's birthday! Happy birthday to my darling DanDan... now a teenager!!!! I can't believe it. Daniel's favourite cake is egg-free chocolate orange sponge and his favourite sweets are Smarties, so that's exactly what he got.
